Status:Closed

Category:Functionality (Server Side)
MIDAS Versions Affected:4.00 - 4.05
Browsers Affected:Microsoft Internet Explorer Microsoft Edge Mozilla Firefox Google Chrome Apple Safari Opera
Details:When attempting to restore a backup (either partially, or fully) via MIDAS Admin Options → Manage MIDAS → Database → Restore, a MySQL error may be shown, and the restore process is left incomplete.

This has been identified to be caused by the way that empty MySQL tables were included in database backups made daily (automatically), or manually, through MIDAS
Symptoms:When attempting to restore a backup (either partially, or fully) via MIDAS Admin Options → Manage MIDAS → Database → Restore a MySQL error is shown
Resolution:Fixed for v4.05 if installed/updated after 28th Feb 2014. Once you've updated to v4.05 on or after this date, subsequent backups will be created correctly. If you need to restore a backup from an earlier point in time, and run into this issue, please contact us for assistance.
